Rewind feature for MPC?

Postby fizzasist on Wed Oct 25, 2006 8:36 pm

I often find myself needing to jump back a few seconds during a movie to catch something I missed....on my replay I just hit "replay" and it jumps back 10 seconds or so.....anyone know if/how you can get MPC to do it too? It is kind of a pain to have to grab the scroll bar and bump it back...usually goes too far, etc....

Just curious.....

I usually hate people telling me that some other software will do what I want, but I figured it was worth sharing just in case. Zoomplayer will do it, with 3 different names for the process and user selectable times for all three. I think that they are skip back, scroll back and jump back... I can't see a difference when I use them with DVD files and you can set a specific amount of replay for each one.

I love the feature and hope that somebody tells you that mpc will do it so you can stick with the program you are used to, but if that doesn't pan out... you can try the demo of zoomplayer.

Good luck,
Brian

MPC has a jump forward and jump backward function. You can bind them to hotkeys and set the time they jump by. It is all in the options.

Thanks Stimpy......I must be losing it tho--can't seem to figure out how to assign different hot keys. It looks like the only option is to "reset" the keys.

Am I missing something?

In the Keys window, click on the command you want to change, then click o the modifier or key. This should give you a drop down where you can change the settings.
