Locks up at Loading: Setup

Postby sp00head on Sun Jun 20, 2004 10:51 am

Xlobby is no longer working :(
Any version i try, I get the same error. It starts to load, gets to Loading: Setup and just sits there.

Could this be a .Net error?
I might try re-installing .Net and report back. I've not changed anything (i think) so its weird that its no longer working.

I'm not getting the same error. Mine is just xlobby sits there, showing the Loading: Setup screen. No error boxes. I've tryed leaving it for over an hour, but it still just sits there.
I'm also having other computer problems with a delayed right click menu in explorer, so it might be related to that. After a long search on the net and trying out loads of things, i think my registery has got broken. I've just started a backup of my HD and am going to have the joy of a windows re-install tonight. I'd lots loads of unused stuff on the disk, so a clean start might be a good thing.
Just means i'm going to have to set up my HTPC again :(

I experienced something similar. When I started xlobby on a computer which was normally always conneced to the internet. When it wasn't connected it stopped a a very strange moment (not during plugin load), could have been setup. When I reconectyed the computer to the LAN (internet) everything was fine.

I think it's because u have the option selected that it should load images or something at startup. Find it in the xml file and remark it. Should work
