refreshing the current time of EPG

Got an idea, post it here

Any News Yet? I am using lar282's xschedule plugin and it is takes time to move up to the current time to see what is playing.

Also it would be nice if we could change the number of lines the EPG shows. 12 channels at a time is hard to see on an analog TV

JLF, you can do it: edit the file "xlobby.xml" from your xlobby directory and change this line :
Code: Select all
<xmltvChannels>12</xmltvChannels>

I was trying to figure out what the REFRESH command under the EPG does.... is it used to refresh the XMLTV file or?

I'm dying to have a refresh option in the EPG to reflect the current schedule based on the clock.. +1

yapp the refresh builds a new EPG based on a new xml file.

We are all waiting for goto now option

The EPG needs to show the currently running programs, not those that were running hen xlobby last started.
Maybe this could be incorporated into the refresh EPG command?

the refresh is for rebuilding the EPG data, it is a slow processing.

probably that making a check of the time during an invalidate of the screen will be transparent for everybody

Have u tried the plugin? It actaully works.
Even if u dont use it for recording u can use the goto now command in the plugin.

It does, and this is a first solution.. but I think that such basic feature must be handled by xlobby and not by a plugin
