can anyone help me with the webserver??

I am unable to get any response from the webserver. It is set to start up, and says it is running in the setup section, but if I go to another computer and type in:

192.168.1.103:8000

I get no response. Windows firewall is not running. What can be keeping me out?

Try http:// before IP.

Can u reach it if u try from the SAME computer as the server is running?
Are u using wireless on the second comp so the traffic goes trhrough a router? then maybe the firewall is on!

defalt port is 8002...(have change this to 8000 ?)
After you have started the webserver
Try this local first: http://192.168.1.103:8002/setup
Enter with your password. Leave the user name blank

i still have nothgin. this is getting so aggravating, i'm about ready to chuck xlobby.

can't get to it from the same computer, can't get to it from another computer or ppc.

have not changed the port, and I don't even see how I could if i wanted to.

i have upgraded to .NET 2.0

windows firewall is not running, nor is any other software firewall

i have a wireless router, but the wirelss is switched off, and nothing uses it.

i am using xlobby 2.0 alpha

PLEASE- THIS IS SLOWLY KILLING ME!!!!!! i have better than four momnths into it and i'm getting nowhere

Ok, lets start from scratch. If this dont work i don´t know what to do, sorry
when you have started Xlobby press F2, chose xnet.
Edit this screen as you like:

When you are done start Web Server (not the same as start server)
Close setup screen.
Start explorer enter this:

Press ok, will bring you this:

when setup is done start your session:

Big thanks to rika from a DUMB Yank.

As soon as you posted the images I knew I had an old version. And earlier I had tried the version from the link you gave me, but it wouldn't bring anything up but a blank screen. It never occurred to me that that was just an update, not the full package, so as soon as I just copied the new files into my main xlobby directory, it ran like a dream.

i hate it when there's no nobody to blame but myself, so I'm going to blame the dog.
