New Tonihappy skin (for looking like my xbox media center)

You're welcome. Which Xlobby version do you use? I use 40.2 prerelaase 11, and your skin stops during startup while loading a smaal or non existent picture database. I think it has something to do with xlobby, and not with your skin

I posted in the pre11 announcement that I found if I remove the "movie viewer" xml then tonihappy's skin starts for me. Give that I try. I still don't know why it is the cause though....have to look at that later.

i'm using the same version and they works fine, i think is my skin and not xlobby. remove all your database (make a backup) and launch xlobby to try if load properly.

I'm having problems loading movies with the skin, it seems to be calling for a movies.xml file in the eventgroups section thats not there. Is that a problem with xlobby or is that a problem with the skin?

Great job on it, I'll be posting it on my server tonight and i'll email you the link to post. I have ye tto really take a hard look at it but its awesome so far, there are a few things I'de liked tweaked, but that sjust me, I'll submit my full review soon, thanks again!

Ok, I'm still having trouble with ToniHappy's skin. It gets stuck on loading images everytime and I just can't seem to figure it out.

I've done a fresh install of pre11. Extracted the skin, replaced the EventsGroup folder in the skin with the separate download ToniHappy provided. Moved the skin into the skins folder. Switched over and it stops on loading images. Also tried replacing the \Xlobby\eventsgroup folder with ToniHappy's and it still hangs.

Somebody point me in the right direction - I'm sure I'm just being stupid...

That is the same thing I was getting. I posted earlier in this thread and the pre11 announcement thread that I narrowed it down to the "movie viewer" xml. I was able to further track it to the exact <eventbutton> in the xml file (may have been the stills eventbutton toni referred to) however haven't had time to play with it further. I'm not near my HTPC box but I believe I searched for <type>category to find the offending eventbutton. Once that button was removed the skin loaded. I also copied over the "default" skin movieviewer.xml file into toni's skin and the skin worked. There is some interaction in that file. I'm guessing other people have it working? Maybe I need stills for all my movies?

I've tried to think of why this happens but I cant really figure it out, personally I don't get this bug. But here is a new exe to try if you want....but you have to delete your "plugins" directory.

Thanks for the exe to try steven, but it had no affect. I was able to track down the problem. I run my htpc on my HDTV at 1280x720. Toni's skin won't run on it. Solution is to change in "movie viewer.xml"

I installed xlobby on my laptop and was able to run toni's skin. When I changed the resolution to 1280x720 I would get the hang on the laptop as well. Also I changed the resolution in xlobby to 800x600 on my htpc and still got the hang. Must be something with the 1 location or a scaling problem? Thanks again for the help.

ok first of all the eventsgroup that a put in download this not for put in yours skin directory but for overwrite the original eventsgroups in the xlobby directory.

me to i'm using the skin in HDTV and all the skin work fine in 1024x768, the native resolution of the skin. i'm trying the 800x600 and they works fine.But in the 1280x720 xlobby stop responding in the splash at "Loading:images".
why?? i don't know

The only thing that xlobby don't make in my HTPC it's to eject the drive but i think this a windows problem.
i'm usin XP without sp1 in portuguese.

For me they works fine and maybe for other people, if anybody that using my skin they don't have trouble with the skin reply because i'm really affraid with this problem and maybe can help us.

I don't believe the eventsgroup has anything to do with the hang problem. I'm outputing 1280x720 from my video card as that is the native resolution of my DLP tv. I can't change to 1024x768....xlobby won't let me which is good i guess since I'm only putting out 720.

I think there is something with xlobby scaling (maybe rounding) b/c by just changing the 1 to a 2 in the location your skin works at any resolution (that I can change to). I'm up and running just fine now. I was posting for others to run across in case they have the problem and to let Steven know. I'm sure that the 1 pixel location difference I won't notice. By the way excellent skin!!
