its a very interesting technology....but I'm not familiar with any UPNP devices. Can you post some links, if you know of any to actual devices that use UPNP.

http://www.upnp.org/

http://www.intel.com/technology/upnp/index.htm

are the most impoortant web page for developpement.

There are software developping upnp:

http://www.nero.com/fr/Nero_6_Reloaded.html
http://www.speedtouch.com/
http://www.playattv.com/eng/product/nmp4000/index.htm
http://www.landware.com/movieguide/ppc/index.html
http://www.gocyberlink.com/english/index.jsp
http://www.convergex.co.uk/

and ather things...
In the hardware, we can find:
-command systems: philips rc9800 and software like netremote
-sony vaio with vaio home device or other devices with wifi to connect all the medias to the tv (dlink,...)tv's and dvd player's integrating the technology to connect to the pc with access to the medias, etc..

upnp is in its infancy... or possibly still born!

very few things support it... and I do not believe Netremote does... they are planning on it but no code yet from what I've seen in the betas/prerelease builds

I wish everything did... xAP actually looks better for HTPC and HA.
