Use Winamp without Xlobby better for me?

Postby patrickrio on Sat May 28, 2005 4:36 am

i am installing 2 zone sound system next week using 2 griffin powermate soundcard/amps. these will be connected to my work computer.

I still need to work on the computer while the music is playing on these zones, and I wish to be able to open up the play list once in awhile on that computer and change the music in each of the zones separately.

Xlobby seems to be something that takes over your whole screen as a user interface... making it harder to use the computer for work....

what is my best software solution to run these two music zones?

Use the size option in the setup/skins tab to run Xlobby at less than full screen or run the PPC client to give you a small windowed version of Xlobby. You can search the forum and find the instructions on how to do either one of these.

hmmm... tried clicking on the time... no effect. i really dont need all this stuff for video, weather, etc... only want the stuff for changing music in different zones. I just want the ability to let me (administrator)adjust music, adjust the eq and create playlists.

I need a very simple display that lets someone else see and change the music that is playing in each zone and change the volume.. and add music and have it organized by album and artist and MAYBE create temporary playlists if it is simple... they should have only these functions to make it simple...
