Need help with event manager

Hi everyone,

I am trying to setup my remote with Xlobby but have hit a wall.

My usb-uirt is working and I can capture codes in xlobby. I have created a new command on the IR Plugin Tab under the xlobby device named pics. I assigned an IR code on my remote to it. (Note: I have also assigned codes to the up / down / etc commands under the xlobby device and they work fine with my remote)

Next, I went to the Event manager tab and assigned the new command to an event. I added the IR command that I created (pics) to the goto/goto pictures event. When I test it with the test button or my remote I get nothing.

Would really appreciate any help offered.

I was doing it backwards, I was assigning my command to the event which in turn was sending the IR command.

With Matt's help, I found the trigger tab. Now my IR command triggers the event instead of being part of the event.
