USB-UIRT Question

I've searched through the forums and seen a couple of posts regarding a paticular USB-UIRT issue.

The issues is when the USB-UIRT plugin does not appear in the IR dropdown list and there is no data in the 'Status' area.


I have the latest drivers from the USB-UIRT website and the latest xLobby packages installed and working. I've loaded Girder just to make sure the device is working and it it.
Any thoughts on what I can do to get this working? I've done most of the simple stuff like 'reboot' lol and made sure Windows XP's dll cache wasn't hosing me on the dll version(s).

If you are running the latest version of Xlobby there should be a tab in your SETUP screen titled 'DOWNLOAD". Click the download list and see if 'USB_UIRT' appears under plugins. If it appears it means that you don't really have the latest version.
(This happened to me after I downloaded what I thought was the latest version from one of the threads in the forum)
If it appears: click on it to highlight then click the 'DOWNLOAD' button. After the download completes click the 'INSTALL UPDATES NOW' button. Xlobby will restart and the plugin should then appear in the IR Plugin dropdown.

Perfect! That did it. I hadn't even messed with the Download section. I was going by some older posts and placing the DLL in different places, etc.
This did it!

Yeah, the older posts and files screwed me up the first time I tried to set up UIRT. Figured it got you too. Glad it worked for you.
