Girder2Xlobby plugin and Convert_Girder2xlobby_to_GML

Postby badubo on Tue Jun 01, 2004 8:49 pm

Hello,

Here is an alpha version of 2 tools that can allow to easilly control your existing skin with girder and a remote.

you can dowload it at
http://users.skynet.be/fa426932/temp/girder2xlobby.zip
readme.txt is included in the .zip

The principle is quite simple, it parses the xml files in the both eventgroups directories and create "sendmessage" triggers for events that don't have one.

Then it fills a .ini containing all these events and the associated wparam.
You can use it from girder as any other plugin by simply select the event (that owns the same name as in xlobby)

You will find also a vbs script made by jbt_f that creates a xlobby.gml file that you can use directly.

Note : if you don't see the settings dialog box, use alt-tab

Comments are welcome

Postby jpoveda on Mon Jun 07, 2004 6:53 am

Hi,

I tested your progarm and it's really cool. Only a thing. I have other girder plugin with same id, so I can't start both plugins. Would It be possible for you to change it to other?.

Thank you very much.

Hi,

Yes, of course, I already asked the girder staff and they gave an official plugin number.
I will introduce it in the next version

Thanks badubo,

Have you tried to put exec parameters double quoted in parameters field?

An error:
Could not load: c:\program files\girder32\plugins\girder2xlobby.dll
occurs :(
I'm using girder 3.2, win98. It does not matter if I disable other plugins from loading.
its a pitty

Arthur,

You need some kind of ms dll in your widows dir (cannot remember which one).

You did put xerces-c_2_5_0.dll in you win/sys32 directory?

Coz it works great for me

Later
Simon.

Hi,

you have to copy the cerces dll in system32

you have also to have one MS dll : mscvr70.dll in your system32

http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-f ... ml?msvcr70

download the .zip, and copy the MSVCR70.dll in your suytem32 directory.

Shutdown girder and restart it

Thanks! I was completly focussed on the girder part of it. I had put the dll files into system instead of system32.
Well, I'm on the roll again!
