Winamp playlist not playing more than 2 songs

Postby TonyLanda on Mon Jan 22, 2007 1:38 am

I appreciate all help and tips. Learning to use this great system. I just ran into a problem with Winamp (5.32). Whenever I add songs with XL, Winamp will only play the first 2, actually Winamp will only show the first 2 songs in the playlist.

Tried reinstalling both Winamp and XL without results. Searched the forum for similar issues but could not find.

From within Winamp I can add songs to the playlist without any problems.

Hope somebody knows the cure. Thanks.

Xlobby actually acts as the DJ for winamp. Winamp just shows the one thats playing and the next one, but then xlobby will remove the one that is over and put the next song in the winamp playlist. It should still play everything in the list though. Try playing with it and see if it only plays two songs and then is over or if it continues playing the whole xlobby list and report back. I hope it works out for ya.

Thanks for the explanation.
Neither Winamp nor XL remove the first song. I am using the default skin in XLobby and it shows always the first song as the current one and the second one as NEXT even when it is playing the second.

After finishing the second it stops playing.

Winamp will always show only those 2...

But does Xlobby open Winamp on startup?

Yes. It does open it upon launch and closes correctly. It plays perfectly the first 2 songs and then ignores the rest of the playlist.

See this thread. Appears Xlobby does not like later 5.xx versions of Winamp. I run Foobar now, but I've ran 2.8 Winamp flawlessly for quite a while.

Got it! I happened, somehow, to have installed a playlist media remover plugin in winamp which was screwing up things for me. Removed it and it's working again. Hope nobody has this problem...
