Help with Offline Zoomplayer

Postby davdev on Tue Oct 05, 2004 5:07 pm

Hi

I am having a problem playing offline movies with XLOBBY and Zoomplayer.

When I click on an offline movie, I get the standard message to insert a disk. I do and I hit continue. This does launch zoomplayer, but it is in Media Mode and starts playing files that are saved on the HD.

Can someone let me know what I may be doing wrong. Thanks.

You need to add some switches to the command line if you want that to happen.

/DVD (start in DVD mode)
/F (start in FULLSCREEN mode)

There are other switches that are useful. Check here:

Thanks, but this is what I have set up in ZP:

"C:\PROGRAM FILES\ZOOM PLAYER\ZPLAYER.EXE" /DVD /PLAY

This works when I insert a dvd without XLOBBY up, but when I use the "Continue" button in XLOBBY, it launches me into Media Mode. Is there anything I should be entering directly in XLOBBY.[/img]

Should be:

In Setup > File Types Tab > Under ...
Programs:
C:\PROGRAM FILES\ZOOM PLAYER\ZPLAYER.EXE

Switches:
/DVD /F /PLAY

Try that.[/img]

I think I get it now and I will try when I get home, thanks.

I think I want something more like this though:

/MOUSEOFF /DVD /F /PLAY /Q

does that look correct?

I think the command line switched finally make some sense to me. They had me completly confused before, but I think I got it.

You people are really great, are most of you programers or do you pick this stuff up as you go along

Looks good. Your seletion would turn off the mouse, start in DVD mode, start in fullscreen mode, play it and hen quit when finished.

You can put as many switches in as you like :)

I just make it up, I mean pick it up, as I go along :D

OK

I got both online and offline movies to play, however they don't work the same way.

To get online movies to play I need this:

"/MOUSEOFF /DVD /F /PLAY /Q %playlist%"

However the offline movies wont play with "%playlist%", so I have to delete that line. Are there any commands that will work for both.

To elaborate I am actually typing in the work "playlist", I am not sure if that is correct or if playlist is supposed to just be something generic and is supposed to be replaced by a real command later.

Again I am using the heavy metal skin and everything is a fresh install.

I would really appreciate it if someone else who is using Xlobby with Zoomplayer and has both offline and online files could post their settings.

Also, the files that are getting launched when I try to play an offline movie with the "%playlist%" command are trailers I have on a completly seperate drive that I have never mapped either ZP or Xlobby too, so I have no idea how those are being called up
