Cannot get videos to play

Postby kaiserwilhelm on Thu May 31, 2007 12:36 am

OK, I "really" think I have actually read some stuff and tried my best before I post.
I am a died in the wool Mac man. I am going to use this worthless pc sitting next to me for this incredible program.
With that said, I RIP my videos to ts files. I have done the download of the ffdshow and installed. When I go to play a video in
the videos section it can see the movie, but it never plays.
BTW, on the latest build that expires June 12 (?). Also, used the DVDFab to RIP.
Message, "Cannot get the Ivideowindow Interface. Sorry, cannot play DVD Video Titles"
Any ideas?

Update: Discovered ON MY OWN that I did not have Zoom Player installed.
You might want to add this to the FAQ? I know nothing about PCs, so maybe mine should
have had it installed and did not?

Make sure under FFDshow video decoder settings for mpeg2 that it is set for libmpeg2. See the attached screenshot below. You do not need zoom player installed to use the built-in media player for movies unless you want to use a external player. Make sure in the setup menu f2 for xLobby under file types that the file associations for the external players for DVD's are not enabled.
