HeavyMetal Skin - minor update

Made a couple of changes to the Music and Playlist views that I think:
1] Give them a cleaner look
2] Add functionality
3] Make them easier to navigate with a remote

The download package http://www.xlobby.com/files/badabing/HeavyMetal.zip has been updated.

To save on bandwidth you can download just the update here:

Unzip it and copy the three files
[music.xlm, musicviewer.xlm & playlist.xml]
to your xlobby/skins/heavymetal directory.
There are no new events or graphics so they should drop right in.

Awesome job on your skin!! It is what I was looking for. Something clean and simple. I like the new changes. Similiar to what I had already changed for my setup. I am still in the process of changing it to 1280x720. Don't take this the wrong way as I have not designed my own skin and am graphically-challenged! I'm learning alot about skinning by playing around with yours. One thing I noticed is that you could use the Multi-Screen button option in several places. The music buttons are a good example and the date/time on the menu, news, weather, etc. It helps me with the resolution change...just change in one spot and presto! the others change.

You select the button and check the Multi-Screen under "Default". Then under "Advanced" you can select all the other screens you want that button to be on! If you were already aware of this, just ignore my ramblings! Again great job!

BaddaBing, I am having problems with your latest skin. It is automatically resetting the fonts at numbers too large for the buttons. As a result, I am losing all my text. It seems to happen whenever, the screen is minimized. Resetting the font sizes then saving them only works temporarily. Restarting Xlobby doesn't work either.
As well, something about your latest skin makes it run too slow on my client. In contrast your earlier version and the default skin, all seem to run fine. ? I hope this is something you can fix because I love your skin... (boy, doesn't that sound queer... not that there's anything wrong with that...)

If anything it should run faster - it is now two meg smaller in size. As for the font problem - if you look over some of the other skin posts you will see that Xlobby appears to occasionally not like having its skin changed. No real apparent rhyme or reason - it just does. And re-installing Xlobby is the only thing that fixes it. My skin is 99% graphics and a couple of 'goto' events. No programming, no scripts, no macros or anything else that could cause that behaviour. Sorry, I know it is a pain to have to recreate you personal 'tweaks' on Xlobby but I don't know of a better answer.
