Found out about xlobby today - just what I'm looking for - thanks!

I was wondering though - where does the name xlobby come from, and how is it pronounced?

I've always pronounced it just like it's spelled.
"x" and then "lobby". I hope I'm not wrong. Then again I guess I don't care how it's pronounced, just how to use it

That makes sense bmblank - I'll do that then. It's just that here in Greece 'x' is pronounced like 'ch' in 'school' (I think), so I was trying to pronounce it 'khlobby'! Not that I speak Greek.

Any idea why it's called that?

What sort of setup are you running? It seems like I need ALL the functionality - I imagine this will be a long term project...

I always assumed it was a take-off on MainLobby, which is a commercial (read: expensive) suite of home automation/media management software. If so, I think Xlobby deserves its own, much-cooler name.

p.s. where are you living in Greece? I started using "rembetis" as one my onscreen names after my wife and I lived in Athens for a year (she's an archaeologist).
