Emulator Help Please

Postby jkeigs on Wed Feb 16, 2005 5:09 am

Hello, first post. This software is great and I have been able to get everything working except for all of my emulators. I have read the forums and the walkthrough's repeatedly but still am having trouble.
If anyone could help me out it would be much appreciated.
I am trying to get an NES, SNES, Sega, and Playstation emulator working. I have all the games in seperate folders in zip files. I don't mind unzipping them as I will only have to do it once hopefully.
I am not partial to any one emulator for the systems as it seems most are just UI issues which I will be bypassing by loading straight to the game. So I am open to whichever one is going to be easier to get working.
Here is what I have tried so far:
With zsnes I have set up a database of bothe smc, and zip files and correctly populated the SNES games page. In the event manager under execute file I have browsed to znesw.exe, set the arguments to %zsnes>parameter% and working directory to the same path as zsnesw. This didn't work, I also tried pathname, file ...
I was able to open a file from the command prompt in windows so it seems that I am not able to get Xlobby to pass the file name and ext to zsnes correctly. I may be way off here.
I have tried a few other things but maybe I am just excecuting them incorrectly. Anyway if somebody could walk me through the Super Nintendo one I can try and figure out the other ones on my own.
Oh yeah, for some reason mame works by following the Heavymetal skin walkthrough but when I try and repeat it for the others I can't.
Thanks for your help

that is the good way,
make sur to write the scree name in "info screen" of your category ( look in the skin editor, category tab)
