is it possible to have a button that displays if MP is recording or not?
Status is good, but the recording will be good.

PS:I found a nasty bug so I redid somthings, but fixed now:DS

updated with latest cvs and added the function so MP will close automatically if xlobby started MP for a recordning. When mp has finished a recordning and tv=Off, MP will shutdown

also when starting MP from xlobby, tv will turn on automatically.

Updated the skin so it looks like stevens def skin in xlobby.Fixed alot of button design things.

rec status and tv on/off status now works perfectly

lars...is the only purpose of this to get access to MP for tv purposes and use XLobby for everything else?

if so I could probably devote an afternoon sometime to doing an XLobbyMC version also since the skin already matches if i can load BlueTwo on your version that is...

no promises folks, but i can definitly add it to the list of things to do, first i need to finish my current planned updates to the skin

Yapp it is. All u have to do in the BlueTwo skin is add an button to go back to Xlobby and change the int value of mytvhome.xml to zero.
And then add a button in your skin to start MP.

But I have no clue if anybody is using MP, cause nobody are saying they do
Let me know if u want me to mail u my skin so u can use them screens as a template

I've tried to use your plugin, which starts Mediaportal fine - but I can't seem to get MP to display correctly.
I see the text for the buttons but don't actually get any buttons or highlighting showing me which button is selected.

Should the zip file in the 1st post contain everything I need?

I'd be more apt to use MediaPortal then Sage for a few reason...

1) MP is free
2) MP supports DVB
3) MP supports more cards
4) MP has supported HDTV much longer.
5) MP has better support all around

If someone could convince the MP devs to enable a complete set of hooks in MP for external controls it would be ideal to run as a back-end and have XLobby run as the front-end.

Can't we make our own hooks?
What control do u need? like tv on of recordning and so on? Or u talkning about 2 way communication?

1:st one exist already but two way i'm not sure. Couln't be that hard to implement tcpip control.gotta be examples out threre.let me know what u need and I'll try and fix it.

PS:why aren't u using it now?cause of 2way comm?:DS

Downside...no sendmessage support of any kind I just asked about that and no one even responded and seaching their forum brings up nothing.

but, having two-way comms is the best.

I don't think they like that i strip MP from everything exept the TV part and then ask them for a favour!

So, what would u use 2 way comm for? The one way right now works great for me.

are you pretty much doing what i do with Sage right now? How do you send commands to MP? Or after you just set up your remote in both or what?

Remotes for both.MP can handle alot of remotes internaly but I use Girder with auto enable disable groups for my X10 remote.

the XL plugin takes care of some communication to like status messages: Tv on,of recordning on,off and schedule info
