roaming with ppc

I was wondering how to roam with a PPC, and select movies to be played on whatever "server" you are closest to?

For instance, if I'm in the theater room, I would like to select a DVD and have that DVD played on the theater room computer.

If in the family room, I'd like to select a DVD and have that DVD play on the family room computer..

Does the zones parameter accomplish this? If so, how do I select the zone or room I'm in?

I searched but couldn't find the answer here, but maybe I'm just overlooking something.

Zones referes only to multiple audio zones, so that won't help you do what you're trying to. You could set up each pc as a 'server' but then you would have to close the client and reload it. You could try installing the xlobbysd.exe into multiple folders and create a different config in each one. Then put a shortcut in your menu for each pc that you have configured an instance of. It might be possible that you could run multiple instances at the same time but at least on my pocketpc I can't switch tasks easily on it when the xlobby client is open.

I'll give those a shot, but this is kind of a bummer, since it would be nice to have all the functionality on the PPC.

I know steven is working on improving the xnet capabilities as his next big project (i think), it may be something to mention in the feature requests section to be able to control different pcs that are xnetted together using the client.
