Mame? How with Xlobby...?

I'm not really using this emulator, I just intagrated it. so I can't help you too much but I know that you can play some games with mouse...

How do you guys use MAME? With joystick? If so, is it possible to controll EVERYTHING with it?

I ask because as far as I understood, it uses 2 fire buttons and direction arrows, plus INSERT COIN key and PLAYER NUMBER keys... I'd hate to have to use the keyboard.... in order to insert credit and select nr. of players....

I'm using joystick, and I didn't try yet, but you should controlate everything like "press ok":

And if you are only using a joystick, you can "type" OK by wiggling the joystick left and right a few times. Actually, you can use whatever input you have configured for left and right, such as the left and right arrow keys on your keyboard!

Try http://www.x-arcade.com. It looks pretty sweet and I hear it's very sturdy and can take quite a beating.
