It sounds as though you aren't using the proper video codecs for TT or WMP. PowerDVD has it's own video subsystem. I think if you go into the TheaterTek config/settings, you may be able to select to use PowerDVD video drivers. This may correct the issue for TheaterTek. Not to sure if you can do the same for WMP.

One question, how do the original films look (assuming they're DVD). Both on your system and an actual standalone player. That may indicate if the problem is only with your copy or it is truely a video codec problem.

Hope that helps.

You may have what you need already. You said in your first post that PowerDVD works fine. Open TheaterTek, and goto its settings. Find somewhere in the settings some option to setup video decoders. Most likely in the General tab or the Video tab. Now I don't use TheaterTek so I'm only speculating that you will have an option to pick PowerDVD decoders. If so, do it. This should help you out.

WMP, I'm not to sure about that one.

Another option is just use PowerDVD (a few have used it successfully with Xlobby). Just do a search for PowerDVD and see what posts come up.

Or one more option is to use Zoomplayer. Very configurable piece of software...a tekkies dream.

Hope this was helpful.
