PocketPC - Cannot play the movies on the server

I am trying use my PDA to control Xlobby but unfortunately it wont play the movies. I can play music and can see the Movies pictures on the PDA, but when I hit Play, it doesnt do a thing on the server. Would it suppose to play the movie on the server?

If somebody can help me, I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

You cannot render a movie on your PDA using the client server setup only control the movie using the PDA. Does the movie play in xLobby without using the PDA. What version of xLobby are you using.

What skin are you using?

Most likely what is happening is that an event on the ppc screen is not tied to the category to indicate to play the movie file. If you can indicate the skin your using, then the developer of that skin may be able to chime in and help you more directly.

I am using the default skin.

it suppose to play the movie on the server?

yes it's suppose to do that, but I forgot to update the pocket pc part of the default skin to do that when I changed it to the internal player. I'll make a note to fix it for the next release.

Can somebody recommend a skin that currently works with PPC.

Most skins have PPC support. Since your just starting, I would recommend either Buddabing's KISS or Colby's Blue skin. Both are excellent learning skins, and should have what you are looking for.

The PPC Movie button still doesnt work on any of the skins. Is it probably the xlobby2sd.exe that needs to be modified and recompiled?

The problem is most likely the event that the button calls when you press it on the ppc screen.. its probably the old event call for an external media player.. not the built in one... prob nothing wrong at all with the xlobby2sd.exe

Do you have any idea when is the next release going to be?
