Higlight bar question

Postby stuartambient on Sun Mar 28, 2004 8:36 pm

I'm unsure how to create a bar that will move or highlight my selection as I move through a menu.
Can anyone tell me how that is done ?

Thanks

you must create 3 different images and give them name that xlobby understand.
for example:
back.jpg
back-enter.jpg
back-down.jpg

That is if I want the menu items to change as I go through the menu.
Which is good, thank you!
Also, though , what if I want some type of overlay bar moving as I scroll.
For instance, as I scroll through my albums in the music section, in the default skin, the blue box moves through the albums?

xresource-selector-square.png & xresource-selector-square-fade.png.

Both are in the buttons folder.

Okay, now that I've overlayed either one of these I'm still unsure how to get them to respond. I've enabled the "nav" checkbox, but unsure how to get it behaviour going. I notice for instance in the music screen, the box behind the album thumbnails will follow the mouse or cursor around. I thought perhaps I could look at the way that was setup but pause/break menu doesn't seem to highlight anything for that resource.
???
Thanks

not sure if your getting confused....but the

xresource-selector-square.png & xresource-selector-square-fade.png

are two images that are used for a CATEGORY......when you see all your albums with their images its because its a category that is being used to display a database.....in this case the database is "music"....if your trying to make a custom category you must have a database assigned to it.
