Is there a way to import with out going into the configeration panel buy adding a button within the music and muvie pages.

if you want XL to build the database for you.. not that I know of.

Maybe you could explain exactly what your goal is?

I'd like to see a "monitor" built in so it could monitor specific folders and auto-import new files and remove any deleted files.

You can monitor folders. With the [c:] category it shows folders. A simple refresh button will update view.

I think he wants to update his database by clicking on a button instead of entering the setup menu. For instance, if you add new albums to your computer, you will have to tell xlobby to refresh the database. I know it is possibel to use a button for this, but havent implemented it myself.

You could also use a button on your remote to trigger a refresh category event through girder. Maybe a better solution could be added to Xlobby, such as being able to add a trigger that would automatically execute an event at a certain time or interval.

Arthur is right i want to creat a button with in xlobbly to import cd or dvd's into the database without going into the setup. I dont have girder, I have a md-120 hd tuner withe dvi pass through and a x800 VC and the htpc case im using is a divine 5 with imon usb i want to have more control of my vfd display but i dont want to use a parallel connecton. is there a way to get this done
