Problem mounting iso image

Postby Dont on Thu Nov 25, 2004 7:46 pm

Sorry if this has been answered before, but I have searched through all the forums and can't seem to find the answer.

I have my movies ripped to my hard drive as .iso images and I can't get them to mount. I have Daemon tools installed and it's location and daemon drive set on the "General" tab in the xlobby setup. When I go to the movies and choose one, it launches my DVD software but since the image isn't mounted it doesn't play of course. I must be missing something simple.
Thanks

I had this problem when I first tried Xlobby last year... the problem wasn't Xlobby, it was my settings. Make sure the "Daemon drive" you specified in the Xlobby setup window is correct. Also, make sure your Daemon tools "location" is this: "C:\Program Files\D-Tools\daemon.exe" (that's where I screwed up my first time  )
Good luck!

PS What software video player are you using? Can you mount your ISO files without using Xlobby?

Thanks for the info.

I checked my settings and I have deamon tools in the default location (same as yours) and the virtual drive is set to G: in xlobby and my dvd player software. I'm using MyHD to play my DVDs through my MDP 120.

Just out of curiosity, I just downloaded Colby's skin to try it out. Now the .iso images mount and MyHD launches and plays the DVD. So could it have been something with the default skin? Maybe something I messed up in the default skin? Now I'm trying to figure out how to unmount the .iso image when I exit the movie. Do you happen to know if there a specific command I need to assign to the exit button?

Thanks again,
Don

It could very well be the default skin, at this point its a franken-skin. Rumor has it that steven will be re-doing it soon enough. Hold tight campers.
