DVDFab HD decrypter - Version 3

Postby vaporhat on Mon Dec 15, 2008 3:46 pm

What version of DVDFab HD decrypter should I have installed with Version 3?

I get an error when trying to copy a DVD, says it can't find the program. Although then it starts copying the DVD. However 1/2 way it says something about some new encryption and that I need to run a different program. It gets about 67% complete and hangs :(

I am thinking I have the wrong version of DVDFab HD decrypter installed.

Does anyone else ever get a pop-up message from DVDFab HD that says it runs into some copy protection issue and needs to run some other application?

It gets about 67% complete and then hangs up.

Any ideas?

The movie I am trying to copy is '28 weeks later'.

Almost all DVDs are encoded with CSS, which is a digital encryption scheme. DVD players can play DVDs encrypted with CSS because they each have a key to unlock the information on the DVD. Another way to think of CSS is a locked door. DVD players can unlock the door. Similarly, a software decrypting program can unlock the DVD and permit to a DVD copy application. trick is finding this key.

you need to find the latest and greatest copy program with the New CPRx enhanced copy protection removal technology

Dvd Fab is ranked #8 of the copy programs
here look at this link, and look at the Important Features section
http://www.best-dvd-burning-software-re ... efault.asp

i've tried them all, and the dvd one click has never given me any issues with any dvd on all regions, both NTSC and PAL
hope this helps a bit

I will give DVD One Click a shot. I guess I never had an issue with any other disc's . ...

Do you have a plugin to integrate this into XL?

the only thing I can think of is that there is a problem with the disc.. I am going to try and find a new copy of the movie and try that with DVDFab. I will let you know..

sorry, most of my dvd rips are done outside of xlobby on another machine, then i just copy the movie to my media repository.
inside XL i use the dvdfab. It's interesting how that one dvd does not copy, even with one click. You may be right, the disk itself might be the issue.

I found another copy to try on and it turns out it was just the disc. I guess there was a small scratch in one part and it could not copy.

All good now :)

Thanks All..
