Found this in a post over at AVS and it seems to work great with Xlobby. I was looking for a good alternative now that Zoomplayer is commerical if you want dvd playback. Check it out.

Looks interesting, and though I haven't looked too intently at it, my first question would be if it can use ffdshow or some other types of filtering?

It looks interesting to me too, I believe you can use external filters from what I read. Where do I download? and what are the commandlines?

Looks like you might be able to get commandlines from doing this:
You can find the command line info at right click's menu: Options->About diglog~

I believe you can. What exactly is ffdshow and what does it do for you? I don't really understand much about codecs and filters.

Strider,

You should check out this thread:

http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=719041

over at AVS Forum. It is a great guide for FFD Show and its use.

Also I downloaded KM Player and messed with it last night. This is definatley an all in one software! It plays TV from my ATI Theater 650 card!

I will have to find out more about command line usage so that I can integrate this into my skin.

Thanks for the link. I've found one issue so far. All of the movies I've ripped are working with the command line switches with kmplayer and xlobby except Pirates of the Carribean II. Not sure what's wrong. I can launch it with Kmplayer outside of xlobby just fine. Not sure what's going on.

I guess that I must be dumb.
What command line did you use to get KMPlayer to work with Xlobby?
I set up KMPlayer in Xlobby setup with the file extentions, and KMPlayer starts when I hit play in Xlobby, but the movie doesn't start.
Any help would be appreciated.

I just used "%parameter%"

If you right click in KMplayer then select options then about it will show you the command line switches

I tried %parameter%, but all my movie files are on another computer and KMPlayer doesn't find the path.

Any ideas?

Mine are on a different computer also. I assume you have xlobby's database pointing to a mapped drive on the other computer?

Alright what did you do to me. Mine no longer works. Didn't change the parameter but now it doesn't start up kmplayer.

I haven't been able to get mine to work at all.
Movies work great with KMPlayer by itself, and the picture using Haali renderer with FFDShow is fantastic. But can't get it to work with Xlobby.
I was hoping that you had the answer, but it looks like we're in the same boat now.

Just a thought, what version of KMPlayer are you using? I am using the latest beta. Maybe I will try the latest stable version instead. I will keep you posted .
