Since the XM Radio/Sirius merger, their streaming technology seems to have changed, aka it don't work the way it used to. I used to have an xlobby database that had a <parameter> tag that would be used by WinAmp. The value in this tag basically was a url that contains my xmradio username and password, as well as the requested channel embedded in it.
XL would (behind the scenes) pass this to the correct instance of WinAmp, and play properly.
But now I need to go through several steps of authentication, to BUILD this <parameter> tag on the fly. I've written the code to do this (build up an mms stream url) that can be played by WinAmp... but it is extremely dynamic, meaning I need to execute my code every time I change a channel.
Any ideas on how I can dynamically populate a section of a database, then refresh the database?
Thanks!
