category resource display

it's possible to have for category the enter display just for the select item.
for the moment if i assign a display who have an enter option to a category, when i select an item on the category, all of then are in enter display mode.

... 3. If I make a font resource for a category with child resource called "enter" I get the enter affect but, it is for the whole category not just the entry I am on. I think that is how it should work for categories...

yah colby called it first, actually I was surprised to see someone else wanting this while I was coding it. I explained a bit about it on his thread, really is neat feature.

But it doesn't work once you've entered the category and move within it to select other items

This only works for the first time you enter a category, but once inside the category and you move to the next item in the catergory it doesn't trigger the event. I need this feature (to use with a movie catergory) to trigger an event in order to determine if a selected movie has a trailer or not and if it has one I want to display an image/text

vicom this thread is about a different sort of "enter", it relates to font resources and having an "enter" state assigned to a font. I know what you want though, that doesnt exist right now...I dont think it would terribly hard to add...I'm off to bed though maybe tomorrow. Bump this thread if I forget.

Ok I have added a "selection event" to the "category" tab under a new tab called "events" just assign your selection event there and it will be triggered everytime an item is selected in a category.

Thats helpful steve, but..

Thats not what I need. I want enter events for every entry of the category. In edit database under advanced there is a place for an event, I want a place for an enter event. I want different enter events per database entry.
