Wintz, no such thing as stupid questions around here.
The crude way to save quicktime trailers is to:
1) open/load a movie trailer from the website above or from here:
http://www.themovieinsider.com/multimedia/
2) while the movie is downloading or at anytime, right-click the quicktime window and select Plugin Settings.
3) Under Browser Plug in, tick on "Save movies in disk cache"
4) After the trailer has been downloaded/viewed, you can go to your browser's internet cache directory and look for the file that has around the same file size as the movie trailer that you just watched. In my case, I use Mozilla as my net browser and it stores the file as a generic cache file without any extension. I had to add a .mov extension to the files. For IE, you can change the default temporary folder since there might be thousands of files in the default folder by now or just clear the cache before you do your downloading.
The smoothest way is to have someone (Steven?), do a plugin to download movie trailers.
