what's a good IRC client. I haven't done IRC in years. Used to use MIRC, but don't even know if it's available anymore plus, it wasn't free if I remember correctly.

Currently I use pidgin, http://pidgin.im. The software formerly known as Gaim. Multi-platform, open-source, and multi protocol. Not the simplest, but very versatile. Hey! Sounds like an HTPC software I know! heheheheheheh
