Searching for other file types besides .mp3

I have been using each version as they come out. Recentl, I got in to the Diet Pepsi kick and have been winning some music downloads from Itunes.

How do I get these .AAC files to be recognized in the music search. In past versions you used to be able to add a file type to search for. I don't see that option in the latest experimental release.

I apologize if I am missing something blatantly obvious.

hit F2, choose databases, click music and choose import, for template choose music and in the cover extensions, add AAC
