Just an update,
Got the Bluetooth dongle last week, and installed BlueSoil 5.xx from their website, but something didn't go right. So I installed the BlueSoil version from the included install disc (version 2. something). Still had nothing but problems just basically setting up. Uninstalled everything, and started from scratch with version 5. That time I was able to sync with wii controller, but when trying out GlovePie, or Wiimote, my computer just rebooted. It was pretty consistant, the wii controller would sync in BlueSoil, but then reboot when trying the wii software. Well last night I un-installed everything again, and only installed the software that came on the install disc, then fired up the Wiimote software, and had control of the mouse via the Wii controller. I then tried GlovePie again, with one of its pre-built wii scripts, and again had control of the Wii controller. This is not using the IR sensor bar (or candles), so I don't have pointer accuracy at this time, but it is a positive start. Now I'm going to start creating my own scripts, and finally integrate it into xlobby.
Hey, this could be a real cool plugin for any plugin writer wanting to take on the task...it would also (as far as I know) be a first to be fully integrated (either via plugin or whatever) with any HTPC software on the web. Just a thought.
*EDIT*
I also changed the title of this thread to something more directed towards the wii remote as opposed to a generic bluetooth device.
