iso files and the event execute

Postby lar282 on Wed Mar 16, 2005 1:39 pm

Hi
sometimes when I watch movies zoomplayer wont play them. I narrowed it down to a timing issue and was wondering if u Steven can take a look at it. What happens is this
1/ watching a dvd that is a iso file
2/ doing this by the command "Execute movies"
3/ Sometimes the movie wont play but it has been correctly mounted by deamoon tools. It seems like xlobby releases the control to zoomplayer alittle bit to earlie and zoomplayer loads before the iso gets loaded.

I tried multithread and not multithread, but no difference. Like I said it does not happen everytime, but still its annoying as hell. Maybe u can put a timer variable in the event execute so if we want we can put 1000ms in there and thats probably enough.

regards

Lasse

Steven I created a script to be runned instead of zoomplayer and put the script under F2 file types instead of zoom. The script waits 2 sec before launching and all works. This kind of supports my idea that there is a little timing issue.

Lasse

Did you find a fix for this or are you still using the script?

I think I might be seeing the same problem and was wondering what your script looks like?

I removed my trailers and then seperated the zoomplayer event for ISO,IMG files. the iso,img file extensions then get execxuted with the zoomplayer command
%playlist% /dvd /MOUSEOFF /f /CD:F /OPENDRIVE:F /Q

the /opendrive:F command will tell the zoomplayer to open the drive to play, so it works properly under mounting iso,img files.

Thanks for the information Lasse.

So you don't have trailers anymore?

Yes, I find them handy, giving me time to settle down with the popcorn etc before the movie starts.

The simplest solution may be for me to change my ISO files into folders and getting away from the ISO mounting stuff.

One less variable to worry about.

Thanks for all your help

Hope its not too cold where you are – hot and sticky here today.
