pc 1 - computer that is hooked up to stereo and television "server"
pc 2 - computer that runs a touch screen monitor "client"
Server is set up with the standard databases in the "general" tab - music, pictures, movies. It also has xml (non file-based) databases like shoutcast.
The client, which is running the same skin and connects via xnet to the server, automatically "sees" the standard databases and I can play them just like if I was using the server interface.
The xml databases like shoutcast, however, do not import from the server to the fat client. I have tried placing the shoutcast.xml file in both the xlobby/database directory and the xlobby/skin/skinname/database directory on the server, which seems to have no effect. I have even copied the database to the client machine's database directory, and while the database does show up in the client skin, selecting a shoutcast station has no effect.
I also tried turning on file sharing on the server's xlobby directory and "importing" the shoutcast directory into the client. Again, the database shows up but no-go when selecting a station.
Can someone shed some light on what I am doing wrong? Thanks!!!
