by P3rv3rt B3ar on Mon Aug 28, 2006 9:32 am I started to build zones now and half of my zones (based SB live! card) can be controlled perfectly. I also started to think about putting onboard realtek 8 channel card into use, i made these zones work too... but i cant control them with xlobby. All my zones use winamp, realtek zones have their winamp.exe renamed cause that is needed to tell their particular instances of ffdshow what presettings (mixing which distributes sound to right channel) to use. I believe that renaming of the file is what causes Xlobby being unable to control them, Xlobby launches them ok, but seems to loose the "link" of control after launching them, i have even tried to use filenames, which i think could have tricked things to work but with no success, like:
C:\Program Files\Zone3\winamp.3.exe
So this is mainly for steven... in hopes he could fix the problem, for example by makin audioplayer element in setup to accept separate fields one for actual filename, and other for controlname, if this is what causes the problem, but also for others who developed schemes which make controlling multizone with XLobby on realtek onboard card possible.
