Help each other out

using xlobby without inet connection

Postby polomaniac on Wed Jan 18, 2006 5:33 pm

first of all: Hello :D i'm a newby here.

my plan is to use it for my carputer... so my very first big question: why does xlobby tries to connect to the internet in order to start up? and is it possible to get it working without internet?

Ofcourse. It tries to connect only if you tick certain option in setup, that is to download rss feeds, weather info and such.

Sorry, I didn't have access to XLobby yesterday :-)

Press F2 -> get Setup window
goto MISC tab
uncheck "Load HTTP images on startup"
uncheck "Load RSS on startup"

That should be it!

:-)

unfortunately not :( my firewall (fescure w2) is still asking permission to acces the internet voor xlobby2.exe... and if i deny it.... xlobby doesn't boot at all... it just sticks with "please wait...."

to make sure i don't miss anything here is a screen from my misc window:
