Musis import using directories and file names

Postby MagnusB on Sun May 06, 2007 10:12 pm

How do I import my music properly into XLobby.
I don't want it to use tags, only the directory structure and the file names.
How can I tell it what my structure looks like?

You need to look up about using metamasks when you import your music files.

Do a search and maybe look at my post here. http://www.xlobby.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3952&highlight=metamask

did you find a solution to add those fields : <type>album</type> and <type>track</type> using metamasks ?

dgemily - No, I don't think there is any way of doing that currently.

ok, so I don't think "metamask" is good for music files... because you will not be able to use internal audio fonctions of xlooby. only a player as an external software..

Good point, I only use them to import my 'artistsort' parameter and everything else comes from the id3 tags.
