i have been successfully using your 4.0 skin both on the hcpc and my ppc. However i have 2 problems with the 4.2 version. firstly there is no minimise button (which there is on the original version) and secondly most of the time i can't get xlobby to load up. it hangs at "wait a moment" or "loading pluggins" and then shows an error message "timed out try again". i haven't made any changes to xlobby between using the 2 versions. Any ideas?

I'm assuming you are talking about my skin... If so 99% of the time it is because you are not on the latest version of the exe.. it can be found here.

thanks for your reply. the new exe file make a big difference and the very latest version of your skin. i still have a couple of questions if you don't mind:-

1. i read a post that you can remove the cd covers (which in my case are nearly all blank squares0 and replace them with simple text. the suggestion was to go into skin editor and select "no cover all" from category but i can't find that option anywher. is this possible as the only alternative is to spend hours somehow trying to find the cover art.

2. i am using the skin on my ppc only problem is the abc search doesn't seem to work. ie. you select a letter and it simply returns you to the same screen. however using the search icon does work. is that the intention i.e. don't use the abc on your ppc?

1) You have to open the skin editor (hit the pause/break button on your keyboard) Then click on the object in the skin that shows the music covers, so that it is selected. Then in the skin editor window that is up, select the "item" tab on the top, then the "category" tab under that. Under that, there will be yet another tab.. choose layout, and then choose "no cover all".

After that it should look like what you are hoping for. You could also play around with the number of columns from there too if you want to change how they are layed out.

2) The a-z button on the regular and ppc screens are intended for the "quick jump" feature. You click on that button, get the menu of letters, and it jumps to the corresponding first letter of albums you currently have listed.

The magnifying glass button is to search your music, by things like artist, genre, year, etc....
