Xlobby plugin development

Postby Hiller on Tue Jul 13, 2004 5:41 pm

Gonna bump this because I got my B&K Ref 30 in today and now I have even more motivation to get the client/server stuff working so I can control all my equipment.

Can anyone out there explain why the UIRT might not be learning?

Thanks,
Steve

For those of you that have this plugin working, could one of you do me a favor and post the dates on your xlobby plugin and on your UIRT driver? I have a feeling the driver I'm using isn't what everyone else is.

Currently I get an error when I abort a learn and I think this is because of some incompatablity with the driver I currently have. This is probably why I can't get Xlobby to learn my remote codes.

Thanks,
Steve

Hello !
I got my USB-UIRT today, and i have the same problems as you have.
Abort learn = Crash
No transmit

I hope there is a solution to this!

Thanks for the info Mr. T! At least I know I'm not the only one and that I'm not losing my mind. That's why I would like to know the dates of the drivers people are using so we can compare and see if certain versions work and others don't.

I think the problem might be that I'm using newer drivers and firmware than you and I can't find the versions you are talking about.

Firmware: 5.8
uuirtdrv.dll: 2.6.9.3

Maybe you could send me your zips and I could test those?

Thanks for the help,
Steve

OK, now that the IR is working, I have a question and a request.
What is the ID portion of the saved remote file used for?
As a request, is it possible to set the IR codes for a button directly from the skin editor without having to go into the setup and creating the IR commands in the Event Manager first? The process, as I understand it to work now, is simple enough, but when you have a lot of IR commands to set up, and especially the macros for TV Channel buttons, the current way is very tedious and is basically double work. Once the codes are already entered in the IR setup, making them directly available through the skin editor would be ideal.
Glad to see you back online!

I know that you have been quite busy, but I just wanted to mention that the posts you made where you tweaked the usb-uirt are gone. Could you put this on you 'to do' list? That is, post the latest exe and usb-uirt driver? I was in the process of getting those why the lights went out. Thanks

Nakins, I believe the latest version of Xlobby (with the tweaks) is in the Announcements section.
Good luck!

No plugin in dropdown.

Postby ICE51 on Tue Nov 16, 2004 2:30 am

I have the 'no plugin' in the dropdown issue. I've pulled the latest files from USBUIRT and the latest xlobby package.
2.6.9.3

Any thoughts?
