EPG Control Question

From my understanding now the EPG only displays the current guide information. Is it possible to add a recording button to the EPG, and when pressed it would it could provide the xmltv information. I could then pass the xmltv information to a script I have to generate the tvpi file for recording with the myHD card.

I know this is low on the priority list, and just curious if it is possible with the current state of xlobby.

I wrote an lcd epg that works through girder by parsing an xmltv file. If you select to record it it generates the tvpi file, and that is executed by the default windows handler. In my case that is the myHD program which adds it to the scheduled recordings.

I would need to modify my current scripts to handle the output of the xlobby epg. Ideally this would enable me to schedule recording from my ppc, or through the lcd epg with a remote.

If anyone is interested in the lcd epg I can post some pictures. I've been using for the past few months without any problems.

I also use MyHD and right now I have to use titantv (bigscreen) for my EPG, so I would be very interested

Can you also generate tvvi files that I think are for "Watch now" feature meaning MyHD app would tune in to the chosen channel?

Yes, it generates a tvvi file if the program selected is on. If it's in the future it generates a tvpi file. I'll take some pictures of it and post them. I'd like to find a way to integrate it with xlobby epg too.
