Using filters with subfolders

Postby asc99c on Sun Jan 28, 2007 5:45 pm

I'm trying to get A-Z type of filters working but it seems they only filter top level folders.

I currently have a top level folder called films and then all the films are in there. When I set up a filter, it just filters the top level folders. E.g. entering 'mon' brings up the top level folder for the Monty Python TV series, but what I really want is the Monty Python films (plus whatever else matches, Monsters Inc etc).

Is it possible to set up to search items in subfolder etc, or even just hardcode it to look in the films subfolder?

On second thoughts, I've posted a few times now saying I'm using this directory structure, X doesn't work ...

I'm properly convinced I'll be staying with XLobby now, so I think at this point it is most sensible to reorder my directory structure to the way that XLobby works.

it works for me...

i use "set filter:movies:genre:find.movies" where genre is the filed you are searching on and find.movies is the list you want to show the results in.
