Transparent button

Postby jpoveda on Fri Jun 04, 2004 12:52 pm

Hi,

I'm seting up my skin and I'd like to have a transparent button for non existing cover. I've found one in colby skin I think, but it isn't really transparent. I have no idea how to create one. Perhaps somebody can send me one.

Thanks.

What kind of button ? size ? shape ?

If you have a software like PSP or Gimp it's usually quite easy to make a transparent button...

Hi Colby,

Thanks for your button. I'm testing password screen but it doesn't work. I've seen in other posts you had a problem with that. I put the password "1" in screen and in goto screen event but when I press the associated button nothing happens. Have you solved that?

Thanks.

the password feature works fine. thanks for the doc steve. I have a request, I wish that as I typed in passwords I would get a display showing astricks as I enter buttons. The way it is set up (show>?) it shows the actual password. Or i could leave the display off but then I have no confermation of input. I know this isnt any easy fix.

Perfect, thanks to everybody. I agree with Colby, maybe would be a good idea to have a delete last and reset input too.

Thanks a lot.

So I'm using photoshop and I have an image that photoshop thinks has a transparent background and some opacity to it and I click the preserve transparency button, but when I save it as a jpg or a png other programs think it has transparency but xlobby doesn't. Do I need to set some specific settings for the png? there's a whole ton of options when I save.

jpg's can't be transparent - only png's (For xlobby).

In my photoshop I create a new image (select transparent background) and save it as a png. Totally invisible in xlobby.

The only problem program i have had with transparency is Paint Shop Pro 7. Ver 8 & 9 seem OK.

Later
Simon.
