************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Welcome....

Double check your paths - also make sure you've downloaded the latest exe. Hit F2, Select Download, and then Download List (I think that's what it's called) - Xlobby should show green, if it's red then you need to download the latest version. (or you can just go to http://www.xlobby.com/downloads and do it manually - get the experimental exe).

Once you've updated, try just doing movies or just doing music - don't try both at once. Hopefully that will help troubleshoot whatever is going on. Let us know how it goes.

good luck,
tsw

Don't fret, we were all new at one time. Even me. Yes, believe it or not even I was a n00b.

All kidding aside I'm still a newbie too. And since you can get xlobby to run it would lead me to believe it's between xlobby and your music. Good luck on that.
If all else fails, it's not hard to uninstall and try again. :) Stick with it, it's worth it.

G:\Media\Audio\1 Movies\Grosse Pointe Blank ST
G:\Media\Video\Going Tribal
G:\Media\Images\Personal

could it be something with my .net install??

your music root directory should look like this
c:meadia/my music
c:meadia/my music/band-album
each album in it's own folder with your tracks in that folder

A couple of things you could look at: Take a look at the help section a beginners guide to xLobby. Also, after you have mapped your directories did you try to run the music or movies from your player software outside of xlobby?

Hell no, uve been misinformed. :shock:

Right answer is, in words of Sarah Michelle Gellar from Cruel Intensions:

"You can put it in anywhere" :twisted:

I don't think it has anything to do with your paths. Since this is a hard crash, I'd be looking more at the Xlobby install. Normally from my experience is that if music can't import, it just sits with the importer window open, but doesn't crash to what you show. Though things are different for different poeple/systems. Anyways, looking at the crash information it appears that you have a few plugins installed. Remove them all from the plugin directory, restart Xlobby and retry importing. Also have you tried to just import one album or movie at a time? What I'm imposing it to reduce extra interactivity with Xlobby and additional plugins/software.

If this works, add more music or movies and re-import. Also add more plugins back into the mix and see when/if the crash reappears.

Hope this was helpful.

I have the exact same problem. One way to get by it is to add the paths manually to movies.xml and music.xml
