Help each other out

make tv link look like movies link

Postby el_cabong on Fri Apr 14, 2006 3:50 pm

hey guys, thanks for the help in advance, just found this great program about 8 hours ago and have been setting things up since...

need some help, i have a tv shows archive on my server along with a movies archive. the movies button does exactly what i want it to do, except it doesnt show one (maybe more) of my movies that i have added to it several times (but it is a .mov file if that makes a difference).. i was wondering if i could somehow make my tv page similar to that... i was going to copy the movie page file, and go down line by line changing things to hopefully get my tv show page up and running how i want... i was wondering if there was an easier way..

thanks again

Welcome to Xlobby.

For .mov files, go into database\template folder and open "movies" template file. In there you will see the filename extensions for movies. Just add ".mov" in there. Restart and refresh your database in Xlobby and you should be good to go.

For television shows, you will need to create a new database. Read some online docs on how to do that.

so i have my database and set up my page to look similar to movies(colbys screen) ect...

the only issues that i am getting, is that i havnt figured out a way so that the overlay_tvshows thing only comes up when i am at the episode page

for example, as it is now the first page looks like movie page, listing all my shows, when i click on say seinfeld, the overlay screen comes up and i have to close out of that to then choose the season that i want, where the overlay will show up yet again. after i close out of that, i can choose the episode that i want, the overlay will come up again and i will then be able to choose play
