You will not believe the luck i have been having lately. I was supposed to be on leave which turned out to be more work and for an extra week.

I come home tonight to find my puter will not boot so have thrown together this small gml file , on my laptop, to show how to do it.

1 - Install a fresh copy of xlobby (pre14 as it is complete)
2 - Copy the events xml's into xlobby\skins\default\eventgroups - overwrite the existing ones.
3 - Fire up girder and load my gml file. Learn ONE remote code(button) for all three of the commands in the xlobby folder. ie nextpage/slideshow & filters. Save the gml.
4 - Fire up your fresh xlobby and go into the music screen - click the button you learnt in step 3 - notice the albums go to next page!
5 - Go into the pictures screen and press the button - notice the slideshow!
6 - Go into movies and press the same button - filter overlay.

Look at the eventstring of the triggers in girder. Like music is called 'music on' then load xlobbys event manager and goto the goto:music event and see the girder trigger.

I hope you get the picture - post if you get stuck.

I did exactly what u said. On a test xlobby. Fresh install.
I t wont work at all. Nothing happens.
question: Don't u have to tell girder to sendmessage? Or are u using ATI:s application in the background? Maybe that's why it wont work for me. Im not. I only got X10:ns driver loaded and girder loaded. It should work however if one tells girder to fins the active xlobby page
Or is it me that's doing it wrong.

Vicom,

I live in Pretoria & the only place i have ever seen X10 (clone) stuff is in 'New world' in menlyn. But a light switch was R1200.

Have you ever looked at clipsal - http://www.clipsal.co.za OR clickon http://www.clickon.co.za, I have never tried them but are supposed to be supported locally.

Where are you from?

yah I've seen those from New World in Menlyn... i've checked out the websites and it seems they are stand-alone devices with no PC interface.. :( it means i'll have to build my own or order from outside ZA..

I'm based in BFN for now, just moved here a year ago. Originally from Pta. Do u think I can get hold of them at Communica (I've heard they moved to Samrand now

Communica is now in/near midrand - Almost opposite the mint. I saw it the other day as i drove past.

If you come across anything that we can get locally - please let me know.

Its way harder not living in the land of milk and honey to get anything.

I had to build my ir reciever. (uirt2)
