Trouble with button focus

I can drive xlobby totally with the infrared controller just fine. But its possible to get it into a mode where I cannot get out with infrared, if my mouse is moved. To make this happen, click on a movie. Now, move the mouse pointer over to the left of the screen so that the buttons are no longer highlighted. Than, pretend you have no mouse, and use your IR controller (or equivalently, the arrow keys) to try to play or cancel playing the movie and you won't be able to.

This situation hits me sometimes because of remote desktopping to the xlobby machine, and using the mouse, and leaving it with a movie open for viewing. then later in the theater, I turn on the projector and find I'm stuck without the mouse.

any sugegstions?

I haven't ever noticed that particular problem, but I find the mouse icon pretty annoying if I leave it on the screen by accident only to find it later when I don't have the keyboard handy. So I have a button on my remote tied to a Girder event to move the mouse off the screen. I also have Girder fire that same event on WakefromStandby and on Reboot.

Hope that helps a little.

good luck,
