I just downloaded xlobby and when I quit out of it and tried to open it back up, my screen was all black, but I could still see and move my cursor. Also, more than half of my desktop icons are not there? Did I install improperly? Also, once I fix that, how do you install movies and covers, music and covers and so forth? Thanks for your help,

Are you saying it worked once but upon closing it wouldnt restart? A black screen usually indicates a skin problem. Make sure your skin is not nestest in too many directories. Also you have to install xlobby pre14 or simplicity before any updated exes are installed (which will overwrite previous exes). Check out Jowaldo's guilde and Baddabing's PDF for help.

Once you have Xlobby up and running importing music and videos is basically a matter of specifing the directory where your media is. You do this in the setup menu (F2). Generally xlobby associates the graphic in the directory where the media is stored as the coverart. So if you have a directory called Coldplay/Parachutes containing the album tracks and a jepg then upon import the jpeg will be the coverart. You dont have to do it this way but if you want you could. You could use spiders to find covers for the albums imported if you want, they are built right into Xlobby.
