Music page problem

Postby Doef30 on Sun Sep 19, 2004 2:34 pm

Hi all,

I have a problem with my music section in Xlobby. Whenever I select an album from my music list the overlay opens, but nothing is shown. When I exit the overlay, the mainscreen is now showing the tracks of the previously selected album instead of the collection of albums. When I click on one of the tracks the overlay comes up again (still blank) and upon exiting the overlay again the song is placed in the playlist. :?

I’m not sure how this suddenly happened, since it did work correctly a while ago…

I’ve tried multiple versions and in all cases the problem remains (currently running pre28). Also a fresh install didn’t fix the problem.. I’have no idea how to fix this problem… please let me know if someone has the answer to my problem.

Thanks

Me too. I have my collection in folders by artist. Not sorted by album. I just need some help on the template to make it like is use to be.

I've tried several layouts for my music folders
At first I had Artist-Album\Tracks but later I tried Artist\Album\Tracks, but still te same problem.

I just can't figure out why I worked perfectly te first time I installed Xlobby, very weird...

Well I hope someone has het answer to te problem, since the music sections is the one I use the most on my HTPC. (now goofing around with just Winamp)

Thanks.

Doef30, what skin are you using?

mindbender, you will probably have to go into the database import template section...then at the bottom select what kind you want...there is genre>artist>ablum , album>artist and a couple other ones. Also make sure you are using the latest templates and exe from the zip below...there was a bug that caused the templates to become corrupt earlier.

Steven,

I've been using the MediaEx skin, but recently I've also tried the Colby skin... and both have the same problem.

The last couple of days I've been trying different combinations of folder layouts and templates, but with little success... :(

I am also having this problem using Colby's skin. Selecting an album brings up the overlay_albumtracks screen, but no songs show up in the overlay. When you close the overlay, the music category shows a list of songs on the selected album. Clicking on one of the songs brings up the overlay_albumtracks screen again and starts playing the song. Then I need to hit the reset button to get back to the original album list.

I think I figured it out. I read your post in a different topic about the info screen parameter on the category page. I put 'music' as the info screen and now it seems to work like it used to. Thanks for the help, and the offer for more help. Xlobby and this forum are great!!

Another small problem. The cover image for the currently playing song is not being displayed. The button ID is nowplaying>music. This is with Colby's skin and the image is in the upper right corner of the music screen.

Kjheu thanks!!!!

It worked, although it took me a while before I found out that the Category screen was located in the skin editor and not in the setup screens.

But it all works great again :P

Thanks all for the support and keep up the great work!
