mp4a codec

Postby billberet on Sat Jul 16, 2011 1:36 am

hey,
i am getting some choppy audio when playing any file that has mp4a audio.
either AVI, or MPG, or MKV.

any time it has mp4a for it's encoding, the audio is choppy, breaking up every second, on off on off on off, etc.

i am using the cyberlink 6 mapping, but i don't believe it is using cyberlink since it's not a video_t

everything else is working great, digital audio from spdif is working great, the last piece to the puzzle is getting the
mp4a codec to work.

anyone have any ideas?
i have ac3 filter installed, ffdshow, haali media splitter.

that codec pack made me uninstall all my other codecs, everything installed good but i still cannot get mp4a codec to work.
outside of XL, if i play the file in media player, MPC, or VLC, the audio plays fine. only inside XL does the audio skip when playing mp4a audio codec files.

i'm sure it has something to do with configuration, so i'll keep trying.

Bill,

My xLobby system works fine playing MP4A files. Disable any extra plugins. I would uninstall the codecs, reboot computer and retinstall again.

gotcha, i'll give it a try, i'll uninstall FFDSHOW, HAALI, AC3

then try to reinstall the codec pack.
i'll keep you posted.

you my friend are a genius!!!

works great, after i uninstalled all the different codec packs, and just installed the one you linked me too. i'll make sure to add it to my library for future reference.

looks like my new server is 100% functional again.
I also got a few HP tablets, i've been using them for independent control when walking around.
good for all my IR stuff, and music control. The browser is a little glitchy now and then, but overall it works great as an independent control.
i scrapped all my ipads, and brought in the HP tablets for my XL browser controls. guess i can always use my ipads as coasters, lol
;)

thanks again!

I don't know, my ipads are now in a desk drawr.
we are developing for HP tablets, so much better, you can put them into developer mode and you have full access !!
they encourage you to 'tinker' with it. which means the open source community is going to have a field day creating apps.
Something you just can't do with apple. (communists)
lol

next time you come visit, you'll see ;)
