hmm no modems here...and no plans for one either...

only modem is cable modem...i assume you mean a dial-up modem is needed...

basically....my phone (vtech) is connected to a motorola vonage router which hides behind a lynksys router....

if i need a dial-up modem i think ill pass on this feature...

i dl'd and configured the plugin and pretty much nothing happens which i kind of expected since no dial-up modem exists...i set the plugin to listen to the wan port...only other option is lpt....

i went to yac site to see if i needed that app but if i understand correctly, this plugin basically has all one would need...

i currently use Vonage via cable modem...

I can verify that YAC works with Vonage service for me. Time to dig in and have some fun!!!

Yac does work with Vonage but this plugin does not support Yac server running on the XL box. The Yac server must be running on another box and the plugin has a built in Yac compatible listener. If you can run the Yac server on a different box then the XL box you are golden.

Not sure if you could get it to work but running a virtual machine on the XL box just so that you can have a 2nd O/S instance for running Yac Server. I suppose that might work but never tried that

I would vote for allowing Yac server to run on the XL machine but Lar would have to comment on how hard that might be.

It would be ideal if the plugin just took CID from Yac server since that works so well and then let Yac send CID across the rest of my LAN

That way the plugin could be focused on manipulating the call data from the storage and user interface perspective.

Can you tell I have wasted too much time already:)

Dont know why not, it opens for me. the first batch of calls where LAN based YAC calls to test the skin I was working on. Farther down were real incoming calls. All resulting in duplicates.

search and see if u have TWO xcallerid.dll in the entire xlobby structure (also look in the xlobby root)

plus mail me the xcallerid.xml to mailto:lasse10@telia.com, cause this is wierd.

I searched the whole c: drive. 1 copy in the plugin directory. I emailed you the xml.

Hey Lar,

I got this working again with PayLobby and it works fine. Any chance of getting you to look at the way the log is being sorted? Over a few days, the log is not being sorted properly based on date/time values.

Ink I fixed that already in an unreleased version.Nowdays I flush the log everytime XL starts. OR do u mean caller log, not error log.

The caller log. Since that is what we all look at for who called when we walk in the door, when it is out of order, it is hard to figure out.

I will take a look at the code in the next days. I don't use that databse myself so I didn't know that there was a problem.

I sort by date and my date in the xml file looks like this
<date>2008-05-18 17:29:07</date>

what does your look like? I guess it could be that I need to remove all "-" and ":" before writing the datevalue

Use sortdate as sorting, like -1:sortdate. Its a new db variable with only numbers so the sorting should be better.
